About camping.living

I’m a camper who’s spent more nights under canvas than in a hotel. This site exists because most camping guides are written by people who’ve never actually pitched a tent in the rain.

What We Cover

Our Testing Philosophy

Every piece of gear we recommend has been used in real conditions. If it fails, we say so. If it’s overpriced, we say so. If it’s the best $30 you’ll ever spend, we’ll tell you that too.

Here’s my take: the best camping gear isn’t the most expensive — it’s the gear that solves your specific problem. A $50 tent that keeps you dry beats a $500 tent that you never use.
